Community Health Centre - Pinarayi

Community Health Centre(CHC), Pinarayi is situated at Olayambalam town of Pinarayi Grama Panchayath in Kannur District of Kerala state, India. The institution is under the control of Thalasserry Block Panchayanth . There are 11 primary health centres functioning under CHC Pinarayi and it is covering an area of more than 3 lakh populations living in nearly around 70,000 house holds. The area of CHC Pinarayi includes 9 Grama Panchayath areas and the former Kodiyeri Grama Panchayath area of Thalasserry Municipality and also Chalil area of Thalasserry Municipality. CHC Pinarayi is perfroming a wide veriety of public health and family welfare activites under the area of its jurisdiction. Medical Officer in charge is the adminitrative head of chc.

First established as a primary health centre in 1953 and then upgraded as community health centre. CHC-Pinarayi has a well functioning Out Patient (OP) wing and a 30 bedded In Patient (IP) wing. A well functioned Laboratory and Pharmacy is also functioning in CHC. The I.P and O.P wing gives free I.P and O.P treatment to the patients and providing free medicines.
